〔記者方正東／綜合報導〕世界棒球經典賽（WBC）資格賽11月15日起在新莊棒球場開打，philstar.com的報導2008年曾在大聯盟出賽的左投Geno Espineli確定代表菲律賓隊出賽，而且菲律賓隊至少還有8名菲裔的美國籍球員。
