【賴德剛╱綜合報導】金鶯昨天靠著先開路鋒馬克勞斯(Nate McLouth)首局首打席全壘打，以及哈迪(J.J. Hardy)與戴維斯(Chris Davis)同場開轟，再加上先發投手桑德斯(Joe Saunders)7.1局送出5次三振、0保送，僅失3分表現下，以6比3擊敗紅襪，取得自1997年來的首次季後賽資格，接下來的3場比賽中，更要為美聯東區首位努力。
